Low-dust powder handling

Low-dust powder handling for filling powder in industrial processes without releasing dust.

The flexible silicone cap provides flexible connection of a telescopic tube and ensures low-dust connection as soon as the telescopic tube is introduced into the silicone cap.

The silicone cap fits on every Müller system tube or flange. All openings can thus be safely closed with a silicone cap or with a cover clamping ring connection after the filling process.

The Müller low-dust powder handling can be combined with other Müller products and integrated at moderate costs in existing plants.

Attachments

Silicone cap

  • fits on the flange rings, inlet parts and individual components specially developed for this purpose
  • guarantees a low-dust filling operation
  • can be cleaned with all usual detergents, even those containing alcohol
  • highly wear-resistant.

Circular cutter

  • for cutting the inlet opening in the silicone cap
  • one circular cutter for all diameters

System tube (flange ring)

  • can be welded, flanged or otherwise mounted on the machine inlet
  • surface ground and brushed inside and outside, flange welded
  • standard height 50mm
  • diameter in DN120, 170, 250, 315 and 400

Telescopic tube

  • allows docking on a low-dust sleeve without lifting movement of the container or of the nozzle
  • with handles for easy handling

Falling tubes

  • system tubes suitable for every usual machine inlet
  • standard length 500mm
  • the edge of the falling tubes corresponds to the flange ring dimensions
  • also available with enlarged inlet

Reducing fittings

• this system serves for joining the hopper outlet and the machine inlet
• available in 60° or 90°

Inlet units

  • they consist of centering bridge, silicone cap, reducing fitting, falling tube, shut-off device and fastening elements, as well as flanges
  • the fastening elements are adapted to the machine
  • the inlet unit can easily and quickly fitted on angled, straight, oval or round inlets

Centering bridge

  • for pinpointed, reliable guidance of the hopper outlet nozzle into the inlet opening

Filling lid

  • is attached to the machine outlet with the support brackets
  • for filling, the open drum is pushed under the filling lid, and the lid is lowered manually on the drum
  • the filling operation can start immediately and the expelled air can easily escape via the venting tube equipped with a filter cloth
  • with optional sight glass to be able to monitor the operation at any time

Suction ring

  • the mobile suction ring is simply pushed on the drum to be filled
  • the suction ring height can be exactly adjusted to drum height
  • a slot in the periphery of the suction ring then allows efficient dust extraction
  • easy to disassemble and thus very easy to clean
  • can be connected to the central extraction system or to any industrial vacuum cleaner

Suction hood

The critical moment – in terms of dust exposure – is when decoupling the silicone cap and the telescopic tube. At tis time, powder residues can escape in the environment.

  • vacuums the dusts where they are produced
  • contributes to the complete elimination of visible dust residues that deposit outside of the plant

Handling

Low-dust filling

  • the filling lid is simply, safely and quickly attached to the machine outlet with the support brackets
  • for filling, the open drum is pushed under the filling lid, which is then manually lowered onto the drum and secured with the drum clamping ring. The filling operation can start immediately.
  • no pressure is generated in the drum during filling, as the air can easily escape via the venting tube equipped with a filter cloth.
  • using in addition the suction hood allows further reduction of the residual dust formation
  • solutions for open filling are available for filling or emptying operations that cannot be performed in a closed system

Functioning of the telescopic tube

  • the telescopic tube or the nozzle plunges into the opening of the silicone cap. As soon as the tube has entered the cap, an absolutely low-dust connection is established
  • also slight pressure differences are possible thanks to an appropriate design

  • after nozzle removal, the remaining inlet opening can be sealed dust-free with a silicone cap without opening or with a clamping rig lid
