UN-Agenda 2030
In 2015, the United Nations launched the "Agenda 2030", an ecological and social reform program for sustainable development.
With its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the 2030 Agenda is a global plan to promote sustainable peace and prosperity and to protect our planet. Since 2016, all countries have been working to translate this shared vision for combating poverty and reducing inequalities into national development plans.
The United Nations assigns companies an important role in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. Business and sustainability are not opposites, on the contrary. Sustainability is the basis of entrepreneurial activity, as this is the only way to guarantee long-term economic success. Development and progress offer new opportunities for people, the environment and companies. The 2030 Agenda is characterized by the conviction that a better world cannot be achieved without entrepreneurial solutions.
For the Müller Group, 11 of the 17 goals are relevant, as the following overview shows.
