New break rooms and modern locker rooms for Reiden

In Reiden, Müller Packaging manufactures large containers for demanding applications. These include drums for hazardous materials with a capacity of 215 liters. But the site isn’t just known for its high-performance production. Employees enjoy working here, laugh a lot together, and achieve remarkable things as a team every day.
A good work environment also includes spaces where people can change clothes, eat, and relax. The existing break rooms, locker rooms, and restrooms were showing their age. A comprehensive renovation was therefore the next logical step.
“It was time to provide our employees with new spaces where they can get organized, wash up, relax, and eat in a welcoming atmosphere,” explains Marco Hofmann, Head of Technology and Production at Müller Packaging.
A modern gathering place for dining and relaxation
Since this spring, the newly redesigned spaces have been available to the company’s employees. The break room, which had previously been furnished in a functional style, has been transformed into a modern gathering place that combines dining, socializing, and relaxation. The planning process focused on the employees’ needs. Their wishes were gathered through a survey and incorporated into the design wherever possible.
Plenty of wood, spacious tables, a dark stone floor, and a colorful kitchen backsplash give the room a warm and cozy atmosphere. Refrigerators with lockable compartments, microwaves, a coffee machine, and a water dispenser make it easy to prepare meals. A cell phone charging station, a well-designed waste sorting system, and a green moss wall round out the modern amenities.
Greater Comfort, Organization, and Hygiene
The locker rooms, showers, and restroom facilities have also been extensively upgraded. Seventy-five new lockers provide separate storage space for street clothes, work clothes, and personal items. Badge-operated locking systems, practical shoe racks, modern shower areas, and easy-to-clean surfaces ensure greater comfort, organization, and hygiene.
The renovation is also a concrete step toward implementing the current sustainability strategy. In addition to environmental and economic aspects, this strategy focuses on employees and their working conditions.
With the new infrastructure, Müller Packaging is making a targeted investment in the well-being of its workforce. As a result, an environment has been created in Reiden where employees feel even more at ease before, after, and between their work shifts.
