«We are the Right Partner for Intralogistics.»

Francesco Bocale (46) has taken the lead of the Marketing and Sales Management of Müller Intralogistics on October 1st, 2018. He is member of the Executive Board since January 1st, 2019. After his 100 first days, he gives an insight in his activity. The LogiMAT trade fair from February 19 to 21, 2019 in Stuttgart is his first Müller highlight.

Mister Bocale, you are Müller Intralogistics' new Marketing and Sales Manager since October 2018. What is your area of responsibility?
I am the manager of the sales team and my responsibility is to make sure that Müller Intralogistics' offer is communicated to the outside world in a modern and competent way. In the present phase, we focus on providing new impetus, questioning the existing and retaining the well proven concepts. During the three first months, I found an open-minded attitude and a good spirit. I am glad to represent Müller Intralogistics with a motivated and experienced sales team.

How will the customers come to feel the fresh air at Müller Intralogistics?
First by a stronger local presence. I am not telling you anything new when I say that we can be more successful in the long run if we are closer to our customers - and not only in case of a concrete request. I rely here on the one hand on the existing good customer contacts. In addition, we also want to convince new customers and commit them to us.
Secondly, a reworked powerful website will bring fresh air in our communication. Müller Intralogistics has a lot to offer to its customers. We want to show this appropriately. It will be visible for the first time at the LogiMAT trade fair in Stuttgart. We will be there from February 19 to 21, 2019, and we will appear with our new outfit on Stand D81 in Hall 3. I am particularly proud of our new general presentation brochure that we will present at the LogiMAT.

Which are the points you will focus on in 2019 in your area of responsibility?
Point 1 will be to release the fresh air we just talked about. Point 2 must be the increase of our brand awareness. Discussions with customers and potential partners have shown that the name Müller AG Intralogistics is not firmly anchored in the market. On the contrary, our former name, Fördertechnik AG, is very well known. There is a need here for communication actions. For point 3, we want to strengthen the communication about our two core competences "Automation facilities for pallet management" and "Automation solutions with robots", and present them. This is where we really can offer something specific to our customers and generate added value for them.

How do you, as an expert, assess the future development of the intralogistics branch?
The ongoing technological development of the sensors, of the artificial intelligence and of robotics will lead in the coming years to a multiplication of sales of automation solutions. Müller Intralogistics wants to seize this opportunity and position itself accordingly. Efficiency improvements through process automation will also be increasingly striven for in the future. In this field, we are the right partner for customers.
